LOCKDOWN 6.0 EXTENDED BY 7 DAYS

11 AUGUST UPDATE

For Melbourne, Lockdown 6.0 has been extended a further seven days, until next Thursday 19 August, under the same conditions - Table of Restrictions CLICK HERE This does not apply to Regional Victoria however people from Melbourne cannot go to Regional Victoria unless for permitted exceptions. Border Bubble rules can be seen here. Including the reasons for border locals can apply to cross the border.

Some of the specific things that may remain relevant to BIAV members.

Stay home unless -

• Shopping for necessary goods and services

• Caregiving or compassionate reasons

• Authorised work (see some examples below)

• Exercise (up to two hours, with one other person or members of your household) Based on matching lockdowns this will include boating/fishing.

• Receive a COVID-19 vaccination

Work: If you can work from home, you must work from home.

General retail: Closed (open for contactless click and collect only)

Hospitality Open for take-away only

Authorised work -

  • Vehicle and mechanical repair services;

  • A ‘click and collect’ service

  • Emergency services, including both volunteers and paid

  • Administrative services provided by an employer to enable its employees to work from home

  • Port operations

  • Freight services

  • A transport, freight or logistics driver

  • All manufacturing
