INTERIM CEO AT BETTER BOATING VICTORIA

Better Boating Victoria has appointed Katherine Grech as its Interim CEO, following the recent departure of Gary Gaffney.

Katherine comes into the role with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the boating ‘space’, most recently having worked on the development of the Better Boating Fund, as well as the pre-planning for the impending Victorian boating strategy. Katherine crossed from Transport/Ports to be part of Better Boating Victoria when it commenced just under two years ago, working on the six priority projects and the other 2018 election commitments. We welcome Katherine into the interim role and look forward to working with her on making boating better in Victoria.

We meanwhile thank Gary Gaffney for his 18-months of setting up BBV, liaising with stakeholders, working ever-so-closely with us during the COVID challenges, driving the priority projects and the free parking/launching agenda, and for his support of BIAV. We wish him well as he transitions to part-time consulting from his home base at one of Victoria’s boating paradises, Paynesville.
