COOL YOUR JETS

BIAV and its member businesses are all about safe boating, and positive messaging. The Cool Your Jets campaign, in relation to PWC usage will be strong this summer, and will be supported by BIAV, boat dealers and others. We remain of the view that the vast majority of PWC users are sensible, and are following the rules in relation to 5kn near swimmers, straight lines near shore, 50m from other vessels, lifejacket usage, as well as general common sense. The safety record for PWC usage in Victoria is actually extremely good, so we want to keep that going, and keep improving.
