BOATER’S SAFETY EXPO - SUNDAY 21 JULY AT SYC

On the day, there will be something for all ages with tours of boats, first responder vessels, air ambulance fly pasts, and prominent speakers including: AMSA, Ports Victoria, Victoria Water Police, Australian Sailing, Air Ambulance, Vic Fisheries Authority, Coastguard, Boating Industry Assoc, Fire Rescue Victoria, Safe Transport Vic.

Complementing the speaker’s program will be displays from a variety of marine safety organisations covering a wide range of topics including life jacket technology, boating careers, safety regulations, community and sustainability, and ocean racing safety and the opportunity to get up close to Port Victoria rescue craft the 12.2m MV Lonsdale to be docked in the inner harbour at SYC.

The Marine Safety Expo is to be held at Sandringham Yacht Club, Sunday July 21st from 10am – 4pm, suitable for yachties (racing and cruising), dinghy sailors, boaters, the fishing community and anyone who enjoys being on the water.
