The Parliamentary Secretary for Training and Jobs, Bronwyn Halfpenny was in attendance, along with Liz Jansen from Holmesglen and other dignitaries. BIAV CEO Steve Walker, who was also in attendance, commented, “Its great to get this off the ground and see the first two cohorts of students getting into it. We hope to see them successfully get through the free 12-week program, and move into great roles, especially within marine.” BIAV’s Manager Education/Industry Skills Dan Brown was also in attendance, and he is photographed here with two trimming industry aspirants that he will look to source roles for in the boating industry. As part of our overall effort to address skills and resource shortages, this is an important initiative that we hope to see our industry members really get behind.
