COMING OUT OF LOCKDOWN - EASING OF RESTRICTIONS FROM THIS FRIDAY

Sunday’s announcements, in relation to the Victorian Roadmap, has brought the easing of some restrictions forward by five days. From 11.59pm Thursday 21 October 2021 these are a few of the changes that may be relevant to BIAV members -

  • The reasons to leave home will no longer be applicable. You can leave home for any reason.

  • The 15km limit is removed and you can go where you want for boating and other reasons, so long as you don’t cross metro/regional lines.

  • Outdoor community sport (boating/sailing clubs etc)

    • can be open for training only (no competition);

    • minimum number required

    • change rooms have to remain closed

  • Other/general retail:

    • open for outdoor service only (plus contactless click and collect/delivery)

    • boats and other things can be shown and sold outdoors. Good news!

  • Hospitality providers at boat clubs, marinas and other marine settings, open with:

    • outdoor cap of 50 with DQ4

    • indoor cap of 20 with DQ4
