What Does BIA Victoria Do?

As the peak industry body BIA Victoria:

• Provides the industry with a single high profile voice.
  
• Provides the public with consumer boating advice service and direct enquiries to members.
  
• Owns and operates the southern hemisphere’s largest indoor Boat Show, the BIA Melbourne Boat Show, held every year in July at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, as well as the Docklands Summer Boat Show in February
• Through membership, provides up to date and relevant information relating to the recreational boating industry to the marine industry
  
• Are the proud producers of the Victorian Marine Careers and Training Providers Directory and the BIA Victorian Marine Industry Directory
  
• Works in conjunction with training providers and careers advisors for BIA members to become “employers of choice”
  
• Works closely with government bodies to lobby for better facilities for the recreational boater
  
• Supports community shows and events that help to promote safe boating and increase boating facilities.
  
• Organise topical industry forums and network events for our members.
